Despite a withdrawal, total U.S. propane/propylene inventory levels remain above the 100-MMbbl threshold amid higher exports and steady production.

Stocks decreased by more than the average, declining by 1.37 MMbbl (red bar, first graph) for the week ended October 18, according to the latest data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The average inventory change for this week is just a 375 Mbbl withdrawal (green bar, first graph). The recorded withdrawal contrasted with survey expectations, which were for a build of 1.57 MMbbl. Exports increased by 389 Mb/d to 1.92 MMb/d, a figure above the four-week average of 1.71 MMb/d. Total stocks are now at 101.2 MMbbl (red line in second graph).
