Williams Co. applied for a temporary certificate from FERC on Friday to keep its Regional Energy Access Expansion project online. The project was intended to ease constraints on Transco in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey and is already partially in service, although an appeals court revoked the initial FERC authorization this summer. If the project is fully completed, it will expand capacity on the Transco system by 0.8 Bcf/d.
