Permian gas production rebounded slightly last week as Gulf Coast Express came back online following scheduled maintenance that ended April 15. Production cuts earlier in the month helped prevent cash prices from dipping below zero during the Gulf Coast Express outage, but takeaway capacity remains tight and will get tighter soon. More major pipeline maintenance begins this week, which could once again weigh on production or send prices lower. Permian Highway has scheduled maintenance from April 22 to April 25 which will reduce capacity on the pipeline.
