The Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced a withdrawal of 96 Bcf of natural gas from storage for the week ended February 23. All 11 respondents to the Bloomberg survey predicted a smaller storage withdrawal, with the average of that survey at 87 Bcf. Despite the storage announcement being much more bullish than average, April futures still declined 2.5 cents to $1.86/MMBtu on Thursday.
