Enterprise Products Partners’ 50% expansion of its joint-venture ethylene export terminal in Morgan’s Point, Texas, along the Houston Ship Channel is on track to be completed by Q4 2024. Executives at Enterprise’s partner, Navigator Gas, said when the company released its Q4 2023 results this week that groundwork is progressing with the first phase of construction slated to conclude in 2024 to push the terminal’s nameplate capacity to 1.55 million mt/year from 1 million mt/year. Navigator says discussions are ongoing with current and new customers for multi-year offtake contracts, with the majority of the new capacity expected to be contracted during construction. The companies plan to expand the terminal by another 50% to more than 2 million mt/year by the end of 2025.
