The first export cargo at Enterprise's new Neches River ethane terminal is loading onto the Navigator Eclipse. Neches River is a new site for Enterprise's LPG/ethane exports and has a capacity of 120 Mb/d; all previous LGP/ethane exports were shipped either out of the Enterprise Hydrocarbons Terminal (EHT) or its Morgan's Point ethane terminal, both on the Houston Ship Channel. The startup was right on schedule, and the second part of the terminal, an ethane/propane/butane flex terminal, is expected in the second half of next year.

There are several other NGL export terminals expected to start up in the coming years. Energy Transfer's Nederland terminal is expanding this year, adding a 250-Mb/d flexible ethane/propane/butane terminal. The expansion has been exporting ethane; however, it does not appear that propane or butane exports have started up yet. A small expansion at Targa is also expected this year. Enterprise has a 300-Mb/d expansion planned for H2 2026 at its EHT terminal. ONEOK and MPLX announced a new export terminal for propane/butane at Texas City that is expected to start up in early 2028.
