Duke Energy recently filed with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission to build two new gas-fired power plants at Cayuga Station in Indiana. The plants would replace existing coal-fired generation and would be able to provide up to 1,510 MW of power. This would require around 120 MMcf/d of natural gas if the plants run at full capacity. The facility is located in Vermillion County and the new units would be placed into service in 2029 and 2030.
