Total US oil and gas rig count dipped slightly for the week ending February 2 according to Baker Hughes, falling by two vs. a week ago to 619. Rigs were added in the Permian (+1) and All Other (+1), while the Eagle Ford (-2) and Haynesville (-2) both dropped rigs. Total US rig count is up 1 in the last 90 days, but down 140 from this week a year ago. Not much has changed in the last four months, with rig count staying in the 615-625 range since September.
