In yet another week that saw very little movement in overall US oil and gas rig count, total rigs declined by one rig, falling to 592 for the week ending March 28 according to Baker Hughes data. Rigs were added in the Haynesville (+1) and All Other (+1), while the Permian (-3) was the only basin to report a decline. Total US rig count is up three in the last 90 days, and down 29 from this week a year ago. Oil-directed rigs fell to 484 (-2) for the week, while gas-directed rigs climbed to 103 (+1) and miscellaneous rigs were flat at five.
