Analysis & Insights

U.S. LNG feedgas demand surged to a new all-time high over the weekend, reaching a long-awaited milestone as winter peak operations ramp up across several terminals. Strong intake at Sabine Pass and Plaquemines, along with continued commissioning progress at Golden Pass, helped push demand to record levels, with further growth expected this winter. Meanwhile, global gas prices climbed on renewed concerns about shipping disruptions in the Middle East. U.S. LNG exports continue shifting toward Europe amid exceptionally low storage inventories. On the infrastructure front, Enbridge is advancing a proposed pipeline expansion to move additional Permian gas toward growing Gulf Coast LNG demand.
