Global LNG markets remain on edge as uncertainty around the Strait of Hormuz and the war continues, while Europe rapidly runs out of time to rebuild storage inventories ahead of winter. Exceptionally low storage levels leave the region increasingly exposed to weather-driven price volatility and could intensify competition for LNG cargoes this winter. U.S. exports are already starting to ramp up ahead of winter, but feedgas intake and terminal output will increase towards the end of this year. Longer term, Williams announced two new pipeline expansions designed to move additional Haynesville supply toward the Gulf Coast, including capacity supporting Venture Global’s proposed Plaquemines expansion.
