  • U.S. LNG Feedgas Demand Holds Steady
  • Global Gas Prices Climb
  • Delays at Golden Pass Stall LNG Capacity Growth
Analysis & Insights

U.S. LNG feedgas demand was relatively steady last week, with most terminals operating at or near full contracted utilization except for Freeport, where one train is offline for maintenance. Golden Pass continues to produce LNG, although the ramp-up of Train 1 remains delayed, with no timeline on when work at the train might be completed. LNG capacity growth has slowed temporarily but is poised to accelerate again as the next wave of projects comes online. Global gas prices climbed as talks around reopening the Strait of Hormuz stalled.
