Blue ammonia production at Woodside Energy’s Beaumont New Ammonia facility in southeast Texas is not likely to commence this year due to construction issues at the site’s feedstock supply site, acting CEO Liz Westcott said Monday during the company’s 2026 Sustainability Briefing. Beaumont New Ammonia began producing traditional gray hydrogen in late 2025. Blue hydrogen production was expected to begin in H2 2026.
