Analysis & Insights

U.S. LNG feedgas demand inched up last week, with nearly every terminal operating at full or peak winter levels and demand from the new commissioning terminals U.S. feedgas demand is more than 5 Bcf/d higher than the same time last year. Plaquemines is the primary driver of year-on-year growth, with the new terminal already operating at peak capacity. Corpus Christi’s Stage III expansion is also contributing meaningfully to higher demand levels. Meanwhile, new project activity continues, with Venture Global filed with FERC for a new, large Plaquemines expansion, which would double the terminal’s capacity.
