The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories built by 2.15 MMbbl (red bar in bar chart below) for the week ended July 5, which was slightly below industry expectations for an increase of 2.28 MMbbl and on par with the 2.1 MMbbl average build for the week (green bar in bar chart below). This week’s storage is 6.9% lower than the same time last year. Purity propane stocks reported by the EIA were at 49.8 MMbbl, or 64% of total U.S. inventories, up 2 MMbbl from the prior period.
