The EIA reported total U.S. propane/propylene inventories had a build of 3.9 MMbbl for the week ended August 8, which was the highest for the reporting week since our record keeping began in 2011 and above industry expectations for an increase of 2.33 MMbbl and the average build for the week of 2.2 MMbbl. Total U.S. propane stocks are now at 88.6 MMbbl, which is 1.5 MMbbl, or 2% less, than the same week in 2024 and 2 MMbbl, or 2%, less than the 5-year maximum. Inventories are 7.9 MMbbl, or 10%, above the 5-year average.
