U.S. LNG feedgas remained near recent record levels last week, with all terminals operating at or above contracted capacity. While spring pipeline maintenance may intermittently constrain supply, overall demand is robust.
Feedgas demand averaged 19.3 Bcf/d (see blue-dotted line below), down a modest 0.02 Bcf/d week-on-week.
Intake at the newly commissioning Golden Pass LNG averaged 0.26 Bcf/d last week, down 0.09 Bcf/d week-on-week. Fluctuations are typical during startup.
The terminal, which is jointly owned by ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy, began producing LNG at the end of March. A tanker arrived at Golden Pass on Monday for the plant's inaugural LNG export, Golden Pass said.
