Kinder Morgan said this week that the first phase of its two-phase Evangeline Pass natural gas pipeline expansion project is on schedule to start up in July. The $673 million project will modify and enhance parts of the company’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline and Southern Natural Gas systems in Mississippi and Louisiana to provide delivery of about 2 Bcf/d of natural gas to Venture Global’s proposed Plaquemines (PLACK-a-mins) LNG facility (see shaded red line in Figure 1 below).
