Between Q4 2022 and Q4 2024, we have tabulated 22 new natural gas processing plants planned to come online in the Permian, with most from Targa, Enterprise, Energy Transfer, MPLX, Brazos, Kinetik, Western Midstream, Enlink, and West Texas Gas as shown below.  Five of the plants are already online. If all are completed on schedule, these facilities would bring on a total of 5 Bcf/d of new gas processing capacity, with 55% in the Delaware and 45% in the Midland.

It’s an open question as to how fast these facilities will fill when built, but we’ve certainly have seen plants in the most prolific parts of these basins fill very quickly as new processing capacity takes pressure off gathering lines allowing more gas to flow from wellhead to plant.
