Golden Pass LNG expects its initial startup to be delayed to late 2025 in the aftermath of a two-month work stoppage from May to July this year.
The first of three trains at the 2.1 Bcf/d joint venture of QatarEnergy LNG and ExxonMobil in far southeast Texas (see magenta diamond icon in map below) had been expected to be mechanically complete by the end of 2024 with commissioning through 1H 2025. Exxon now estimates the project will reach first LNG at the back end of 2025, up to six months later than planned before the stoppage.
