Plaquemines LNG terminal’s volumes were steady last week and the company now has an additional pipeline route available.
Commissioning volumes at Plaquemines LNG are around 2 Bcf/d (see chart below). Columbia Gulf Transmission’s East Lateral Xpress project received FERC authorization to begin partial service on March 28, including the tie into the Plaquemines header pipeline, Gator Express.
The project still has one compressor station that has not been placed into service, and we don't expect the project to reach the full 725 MMcf/d capacity yet.
The new connection began on April 4 and flows were as high as 250 MMcf/d over the weekend. Plaquemines can now receive feedgas from TETCO, Tennessee and Columbia Gulf, which are all the planned connections for the terminal. While, U.S. LNG feedgas demand slipped last week as intake dropped at several terminals, most have bounced back. To learn more about LNG feedgas, check out our LNG Voyager Weekly Report.
