In a note a couple weeks ago, we discussed Williams' plans to ramp up brownfield expansions on Transco Pipeline, citing an influx of supply from Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) and increasing demand from downstream markets. This week, there was more expansion news from DT Midstream and Equitrans:

DT Midstream said in its second-quarter earnings call that it has greenlighted and moved up the development of a new trunkline and gathering system to move associated gas from new wells drilled in the liquids-rich window of the Ohio Utica Shale. DTM accelerated its timeline for the project after the dedicated acreage held by a small private producer was acquired by a large-cap, investment-grade producer with plans to develop the area. The initial buildout of the Ohio Utica System will include a new trunkline and backbone of the gathering network with a capacity of 200 MMcf/d, and DTM is targeting in-service in H1 2024.
